In this section you will find answers to solve problems you might be having. Also you will find informations regarding certain features. You should check this first if you have problems, then you should contact me if you cannot solve the problem on your own. When mailing to me, you should check some things:

Have you included the name of the game in your mail ?
Were there some errors while ripping the disk(s) ?
Which version of the game do you own (version number, from a compilation etc.) ?
Do you really have an original version of the game ? (The patches normally do not work with pirated versions !)
What kind of Amiga do you own ? (CPU / memory / graphics card)
Is the patch really written by me ? (I know why this one is here !)
Have you checked the tooltypes ?
Do you have an amiga ?

It is very likely that there are some blitter problems which do not occur on my machine.
Before contacting me please try some tooltype / commandline-arguments like:

NOCACHES
NOFAST

Perhaps these will help, but for all arguments check the documentation of JST.

The patch does not work on my machine!

First, try some tooltypes / commandline-arguments like:

NOCACHES
HDLOAD
LOWMEM

These are the most frequent ones. Again for all arguments check the documention of JST.

If this does not help you may really have an unsupported version, in this case contact me.

Where is the <NONE> key?

You are such a smart guy ! Go ask your mother !
In some games it is quite impossible to implement a clean quit option, due to the fact that some games rely very heavy on the OS. It would be necessary to patch ALL OS calls which is sometimes a lot of work, sometimes too much work and sometimes simply impossible.

Highscore save

At the moment I do not really know if people would like to have scores saved or not, it is up to you: contact me !

If scores are saved, you can say generally:

You can specify where they are saved / loaded with the SAVEDIR tooltype / argument.
Of course the SAVEDIR is only available for registered users of JST.
The file is called game-name.high.

Iconify

Like score-save, I do not really know if people find iconfiy useful, again it is up to you: contact me !

At the moment I do not support iconify very frequently, due to the fact that it is not very easy to implement it.
Also I do not think it is very useful, that is another aspect why I do not support it very much.
